KJD Precision Engineering was established in 1960 by Ken and Judy Thompson and remains a proud family-owned business today. Now led by Daniel Thompson, son of Peter and grandson of Ken, the company continues its long-standing tradition of quality, reliability, and practical engineering solutions.

Daniel has worked in the business for many years and is committed to carrying forward the standards and reputation built over generations.

Peter Thompson, who led the business for decades after beginning his apprenticeship in 1977, brought over 35 years of engineering and manufacturing experience. His strength in designing practical, long-lasting solutions and identifying potential production challenges early helped shape the company’s reputation for efficiency and quality.

A key part of KJD Precision Engineering’s approach is maintaining in-house manufacturing. This ensures strong quality control, efficient production, and reliable delivery.

Over more than 60 years, the business has built lasting relationships, with many customers partnering with us for over 20 years. This reflects a simple commitment to doing what we say and doing it well.

From concept and design through to manufacture and delivery, we provide an end-to-end service across aluminium die casting, fabrication, and machining. We handle projects of all sizes with precision and care.
